September has been a whirlwind of moving and unpacking. It is definitely the month of starting afresh as I get myself back into the university mentality. Of course, this means my items for this month are going to be suitably related to organisation and planning!
- Stardew Valley || buy here
After saying my list was likely to be university related, this item relates more to how I procrastinated in getting ready for university…oops. Also, this item isn’t exactly a tangible thing but I feel I have to mention it because of the amount of hours I invested in it (-cough- 55 hours in 4 days -cough-).
If you haven’t already guessed, Stardew Valley is a game. If you’ve grown up playing Harvest Moon like myself, you will instantly fall in love with it because it is basically it’s better older sibling. The plot of the game centres around yourself as the main character leaving a busy city job to start a new life on a farm. You develop your farm from the ground up, meet people, maybe find that special someone and then eventually fall in love, get married and have children. If you’re looking for something relaxing to do on a rainy day, then I highly recommend getting this!
WARNING: You might just get addicted and neglect your actual life.
- Transparent makeup compartment || buy here (not online)
I feel like every beauty blogger and their mum has a transparent makeup compartment. I’ve realised I don’t actually own that much makeup but the stuff I do own was just unorganised and hanging loose in a drawer. Originally, I found a 20 quid compartment online but after a random snoop around Tiger, I found a perfect sized one just for £8. Bargain!!
- Constellations Daily Journal || buy similar (original sold out!)
This journal is in my featured image and it is a dreamy collaboration from Ohh Deer (check out their amazing stationary!) and Urban Outfitters. I knew the moment I saw it that I just had to have it as I was on the hunt for a daily planner and this one is just so me. What I love about it is that you write in what date you are planning for so you do not have to commit to writing an entry for every day of the year. It is also not year dependent so there is no empty space as we are already past the half mark for 2016 and soon to be in 2017. It’s just perfect.
- Velvet Panel Laptop Bag || buy here
I don’t know why but I’m just not a massive backpack person. I think I am just still haunted by Year 7 when it was compulsory for us to wear these too-big-for-our-bodies massive black backpacks that just made us look like turtles. Either way, my shoulder laptop bag was getting way too uncomfortable for any long distance walking so I had to find an alternative. I was drawn to this bag immediately because of the velvet (read my Autumn Wishlist and you’ll know just how obsessed with velvet I am) and it is actually super comfortable and fits my laptop like a charm. Not to mention, I love being matchy and the red flap is the same colour as parts of my laptop.
What have you been loving this month?
