I don’t know about you but I find that there is something about perusing online shopping websites that is so therapeutic. If I’m procrastinating, its guaranteed that I will be looking at clothes online – even if I never intend to buy anything, I just like exploring what’s new and letting my imagination wander with outfit combos of the items I am looking at with the items I already own. The images above basically epitomise my colour palette; I like a whole lot of black with splashes of colour. I just find it such a flattering shade and really, you just can’t go wrong with it. Now its finally Autumn, I can continue wearing my native colour without feeling sticky and out of place!
First of all on this wishlist, I love velvet. I have at least one velvet item for every type of clothing and frankly, I’m not intending to stop any time soon! Its just such a great material that can give a basic piece more of a twist. I’m also really into the whole Western trend going on right now and especially the belts – silver metallic detailing is a great way to add something eye catching to an outfit. I’m a big fan of sheer anything and especially when it has a bit of patterning on it. Its just such a light material which adds a bit more layering and makes you look like you put effort into your outfit even if its just a casual day. I really like the witchy vibes of this mesh dress…it is nearly Halloween after all.
I’ve become a big fan of midi skirts as I just find them so flattering. I already own a black (of course) pleated one and I thought I would look at something a bit more daring with its satin sheen. Not to mention the colour reminds me of a cosy hot chocolate you might have on a snug Autumn evening. I’m not one to wear heels often but this pair is the kind you would see me in. They’re Mary Jane-esque and I am a sucker for a thick heel and some platform…the question is, can I walk in them???
As for my other pair of shoes, I don’t think I have even considered wearing a pair of ballet flats since Year 8 (boots ftw) but something about these makes me reconsider. I love the contrast between the preppy-ness of them being flats and the edginess of the silver buckling.
Can we take a moment to appreciate this bag? The embroidery is GORGEOUS but I really have no need for another backpack of this size…though do I ever have a need for the things I buy? Hehe.
What are you after this season?
